The track is complete with the team trailers making their way into our amazing little waterfront hamlet of St. Pete (Monoco has nothing on us!!). Beer Breakfast welcomes back the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg…. the drivers, the support staff, our local officials and businesses and everyone that makes this incredible weekend possible.

The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg track construction is underway! And who better to assist in getting things going than last year’s race champion, Juan Pablo Montoya, the always engaging Columbian race car driver for Team Penske.

Montoya has become a crossover race winner by winning races (starting in each case in his rookie year) in Formula One, CART, IRL, IndyCar, Grand-Am and NASCAR equaling in that respect Mario Andretti’s caliber of success (except for the F1 World Championship, but there’s still time!?); and shares honors as well with Dan Gurney in being a race winner in IndyCar/F1/NASCAR.
