For reasons still not clear, boatloads of German immigrants made Texas their home in the 1800s. What they thought they would find similar to their cold, richly forested homeland in the hellaciously hot, mes-quite-scrub, rattlesnake-filled Texas Hill Country is lost to history. Worse, they brought almost nothing with them from the Old World to remind them of home.
Almost nothing.

Stressing quality over quantity The Mandarin Hide has added their own unique twist to Prohibition Era cocktails.

We will feature some samples from their menu to get you in the mood for Beer Breakfast 2011…. Up first their signature drink…

 

Tito’s Blind Pig A blind pig was a slang name often given to the owner of a speakeasy during the prohibition era.  Tito was our favorite. Tito’s Vodka, sliced cucumber, lime, jalapeno & soda.

Beer Breakfast 2011 will be at…

The Mandarin Hide located at 231 Central Avenue in Downtown St. Petersburg will host Beer Breakfast starting at 9am. This hipster cocktail lounge will be donating a portion of all sales to our charity to benefit the fallen St. Petersburg Police Officers.

Beer Breakfast 2011 is being held at The Mandarin Hide – 231 Central Avenue  in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg  Florida on Saturday, March 26th 2011. This event is the morning of the St. Pete Grand Prix.
