Beer Breakfast events continue to be so successful because of a handful of OG sponsors like Llewellyn Insurance Services. Based in St. Petersburg, FL, they are a locally owned, independent insurance agency with the customer’s specific needs being met day in and day out. My buddy, Todd Llewellyn, and his top notch agents have relationships with dozens of insurance companies, allowing clients to get the right price with the best service on auto, homeowner, big boys (and girls) toys, and small business insurance needs. Our next Beer Breakfast Event is a little more than a month away! And who other than  Skyway Supply, Inc. to keep the dream alive for our cause with another year of support. My good buddy, Bob, and his crew of hard charging folks have been with us from Day 1 with their support and generosity for our local charities. I never leave a Beer Breakfast event without getting a little dirty so watch out for flying bacon and olives from the Bloody Mary bar! Good thing we know how to get sparkling clean and fresh using environmentally safe products from Skyway Supply! Oops, we did it again! It wouldn’t be a Beer Breakfast without Tito’s Handmade Vodka, one of our most amazing sponsors since BB 2015! Our incredible Beer Breakfast Bloody Mary Bar will be back with more tasty treats than ever with the support of this Austin, TX based company. It only makes sense to have our Beer Breakfast event on the Saturday morning of St Pete Grand Prix weekend considering how amazing the weather always is…. we also figured there would be a ton of folks downtown and in a party mood. Well, we sure nailed that one!

For the first few years our host bar, The Mandarin Hide, was the only place open at 9am Saturday morning and now EVERY business is open in the morning. Yeah, we are trend setters! And thanks to our friends at Green Savoree Racing Promotions, we’ll have 4 Sunday General Admission Tickets with Paddock Passes to auction off at Beer Breakfast!

Preparations for Beer Breakfast 2024 are ramping up and we are thrilled to welcome back one of the OG’s from our sponsorship fold in musician David Cahalan. Dave is one of my longest and dearest friends from Florida and after taking a 10 year sabbatical to the Oregon winery region where he soothed some souls at exclusive resorts and private gatherings, Dave is now back in good ol’ St Pete ready to share his talents at some local venues and private concerts! Dave’s career has spanned five decades. From his humble roots as an Iowa farm boy getting the lead role in his high school musical, Hollywood acting stints (he was 3rd in line behind Henry Winkler to be Fonzie!), national commercial jingles, to being a backup vocalist in The Carpenters and touring the globe with them. The stories this dude has are insane!

Beer Breakfast 2024 is a little more than 2 months away and we finally have winter across the nation, especially here in Florida! As my Mom would say, “You’ll freeze your bippy off if you don’t cover up!”. And no, I have no idea what a “bippy” is, so feel free to make your own decision on that one.

As we care deeply for our Beer Breakfast Brethren and their bippy’s, we are thrilled to have a few BB Hoody’s left, but please let me know fast if you want one as they are going quick! This is the earliest announcement in our 24 year history (don’t try to add it up, remember…. we are day drinkers!) for the next Beer Breakfast event! What began as a lark back in 2002 with 5 friends getting together for a round of beers at o’dark-thirty in the alley behind Mastry’s has grown into an annual gathering of hundreds of like-minded souls eager to enjoy each others company AND raise money for local charities.

THANK YOU MY FRIENDS! Our most recent Beer Breakfast event in support of Ready for Life was an absolute blast! Thanks to our ‘Friends of Beer Breakfast‘, sponsors, attendees, t-shirt sales, raffles, and auctions I’m THRILLED to report our gross donations were among the highest ever!

Proceeds from the event were delivered this week to the amazing folks at RFL for $12,298! Hundreds came, the weather was amazing, I put my kids to work and we had so much fun as we raised awareness and monetary support for Ready for Life, our local 501(c)3 charity hand picked to receive the love from Beer Breakfast ’23!

We’ve now raised over $125,000 for local St. Pete 501(c)3’s and we should all be VERY PROUD of this accomplishment. I remain humbled and grateful to all of my family and friends for seeing the value in this silly idea of mine that began with five people in 2002 in the alley behind Mastry’s (thanks Mom!).

We are already looking for Corporate sponsorships for next year with the hope of “matching” sponsors to come on board to really take our efforts to the next level. Please let me know if you can help!

• ST PETE GRAND PRIX – Sunday Race Tix w/ PADDOCK PASSES – From Green Savoree Racing, the Race Promoter who has taken a liking to our Beer Breakfast fun!

• Thanks to Reno Beach Surf Shop we have an awesome Naice inflatable 10’6″ SUP with carry bag, pump, fins, and paddle

In 24 hours we will experience the next Beer Breakfast and support the wonderful efforts of Ready For Life and their mission to assist young adults as they make the challenging transition from foster care to adulthood, preventing homelessness and helping them achieve their goals to become active and balanced participants in this crazy thing we call life!
